How to Log In to cPanel (Control Panel)

What is cPanel?

cPanel is your hosting dashboard. It is where you manage the technical side of your website. You will use cPanel to:

  • Create and manage Email Accounts (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).

  • Use the File Manager to upload or edit files.

  • Install WordPress using the WP Toolkit.

  • Manage Databases and Backups.

There are three ways to log in, depending on your preference.

Method 1: Via the SiteHosts Client Area (Easiest)

This is the recommended method. It uses "Single Sign-On," so you do not need to remember a separate cPanel username or password.

  1. Log in to your SiteHosts Client Area.

  2. Click on Services (or "My Services" in the main menu).

  3. Click on the Active hosting package you wish to manage (click the row, not the domain name itself).

  4. On the Actions sidebar (usually on the left or bottom), click Log in to cPanel.

  5. You will be automatically redirected and logged in.

Method 2: Via Direct URL

If you prefer to bypass the client portal, you can log in directly using your domain name. You will need the Username and Password sent to you in your "New Account Information" or "Welcome" email.

  1. Open your web browser.

  2. Type your domain name followed by /cpanel.

    • Example: https://yourdomain.com/cpanel

    • Alternative: https://yourdomain.com:2083

  3. Enter your cPanel Username and Password.

  4. Click Log in.

Method 3: Via Server IP (Fallback)

If you have just registered a new domain, it may take up to 24 hours to "propagate" (work worldwide). If yourdomain.com/cpanel is not working yet, use the Server IP address found in your Welcome Email.

  1. Type https:// followed by your server IP and :2083.

    • Example: https://78.141.242.135:2083

  2. Note: Your browser may show a "Not Secure" or "Privacy" warning because the IP address does not match the SSL certificate. This is normal. Click Advanced -> Proceed (or "Accept Risk") to continue.

  3. Enter your username and password to log in.

Common Login Issues & Troubleshooting

"The login details are invalid"

  • Check for spaces: When copying/pasting passwords, ensure you haven't accidentally copied a blank space at the end.

  • Reset your password: You can reset your cPanel password directly from the SiteHosts Client Area (under the "Change Password" tab in your service details).

"The page will not load" / "Connection Timed Out"

  • This often happens if you are on a restricted network (like an office or public WiFi) that blocks port 2083.

  • Fix: Try Method 1 (via the Client Area), as this often bypasses port restrictions.

  • Firewall Block: If you failed the login too many times, our firewall may have blocked your IP address for security. Please wait 30 minutes or contact our support team to unblock your IP.
